ABOUT THE ARTIST
Scott Jordan was born 6/18/57 in Key West Florida. He grew up on Govenors Island, a historic military base located off the tip of Manhattan in New York City. It was there that he became involved in N.Y.C. history. When only 11 years old he participated in his first archeological excavation. At this dig he found military buttons, coins, pottery shards, and old bottles. This was the begining of a way of life for Scott. His new obsession became the passion which defines his life today.
Scott is currently involved in many excavations. He has been featured in numerous local and national magazine articles including the New York Times and New York magazine, and has lectured about his experiences as an archeologist. Also a painter, Scotts sculptures and various works of art are in collections around the world.
