Rochester NY. 9-3/4"H, amber, applied or tooled lip, early smooth base, semi-oval shape, America ca. 1870.  This beautifulbottle features an embossed 'safe' and actually claims to cure maladies of the kidney and liver. Probably mostly alcohol, this bogus product was popular around the end of the 19th century. Boy, would the FDA have a field day with this one today!!!
